Nmmm not downloading mods

This quick tutorial page assumes that you have already installed NMM and have it setup ready for modding. Vortex will not download anything. I've tried to download several mods through this and it did the same message on the nexus site that it did for NMM, however the downloads never happen, i even click the its not downloading so force download, still doesnt do it.

Try to DL mods, windows alert popup says I need an App to open nxm file and I have Vortex open at the time and logged in. I am able to log in vortex via nexus website, however when i try to download a mod i get a message saying i need to download an app from the app store. Up unitl two days ago it worked fine. Whenever I hit a vortex download link, it wants to open the old nmm. So I uninstalled that. I have problems to download mods using the option "vortex" in nexusmode, they don't recognize vortex to open and download. I have checked the proper boxes and logged in. I dont know how to fix that. I did setup Vortex correctly following the Wiki and Gopher. Prinsn , the download with mod manager button is controlled by both mod authors and our staff.

Our staff will never disable the button unless the author is providing an installer for the mod. More often, the mod authors themselves would disable the button for one reason or another - please clarify this with the mod author.
